ADAS Diagnostic Tools
Warranty Information
ADAS Diagnostic Tools sells professional equipment intended for commercial use. This page explains the warranties that apply to your purchase, who handles claims, and the limits of those warranties.
Manufacturer Warranty vs. Our Role
Most equipment we sell is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. The manufacturer—not ADAS Diagnostic Tools—is the primary warrantor and sets the terms, duration, and coverage.
- Warranty period: 1 year from delivery, or the manufacturer’s stated period, whichever applies.
- Our role: We help you start and manage manufacturer warranty claims, coordinate repairs or replacements, and serve as your point of contact throughout the process.
What’s Typically Covered
Subject to each manufacturer’s specific terms, warranties generally cover:
- Defects in materials and workmanship under normal commercial use
- Hardware failures not caused by misuse, accident, or improper installation
What’s Typically Excluded
Warranties generally do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including consumables and calibration targets
- Damage from misuse, abuse, accident, improper installation, or unauthorized modification or repair
- Damage from power surges, environmental conditions, or failure to follow operating instructions
- Software issues caused by incompatible third-party systems
- Shipping damage (covered instead under our Shipping & Delivery damage-claim process)
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Contact us at support@adasdiagnostictools.com or 866-217-0063 with your order number, the product serial number, and a description of the issue.
- We will confirm warranty status and coordinate with the manufacturer.
- Follow the return, repair, or on-site service instructions we provide. Some claims are handled directly by the manufacturer’s service network.
Commercial-Use Considerations
This equipment is sold for professional and commercial use. Consumer warranty protections that apply to household products may not apply to commercial buyers. Warranty coverage assumes the equipment is operated by trained personnel in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Implied Warranties and Disclaimers
Under the Uniform Commercial Code as adopted in Minnesota (Minn. Stat. ch. 336, Article 2), certain warranties may arise automatically in a sale of goods, including the implied warranty of merchantability (Minn. Stat. § 336.2-314) and the implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose (Minn. Stat. § 336.2-315). To the fullest extent permitted by law, and as allowed under Minn. Stat. § 336.2-316:
EXCEPT FOR ANY APPLICABLE MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY AND ANY EXPRESS WARRANTY STATED IN WRITING BY ADAS DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS, ALL GOODS ARE SOLD “AS IS.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADAS DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADAS DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR DOWNTIME, ARISING FROM THE SALE OR USE OF ANY EQUIPMENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE ITEM AT ISSUE.
Some jurisdictions limit the disclaimer of implied warranties or the exclusion of certain damages; where such limits apply, this section applies only to the extent permitted by law.
