TEXA Front Video Camera Calibration Panel for Subaru EyeSight2 with Bubble Level (3911392)

This is a manufacturer-specific calibration target panel designed for Subaru's EyeSight2 stereo camera system. If your shop does windshield replacements on Subarus, handles collision repair on models equipped with EyeSight, or removes and reinstalls the EyeSight camera bracket for any reason, you need this panel. Without it, you cannot properly calibrate the EyeSight2 system after the repair — and an uncalibrated stereo camera system means pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist are all operating on bad data.

What Makes EyeSight2 Calibration Different

Subaru EyeSight is a stereo camera system — not a single lens, but two cameras mounted side by side at the top of the windshield working as a matched pair. The stereo geometry between those two lenses is how the system calculates distance, closing speed, and lane position. Calibrate it wrong and the system's depth perception is off. That's not a warning light problem — it's a safety problem.

Because of the stereo geometry requirement, calibration demands a panel that both cameras can simultaneously reference with precision. Generic panels or improvised targets will not produce accurate results. This panel is purpose-built for EyeSight2 and is used within the TEXA RCCS calibration framework.

The Bubble Level: Why It Matters

The included bubble level on this panel is not a convenience feature — it is a calibration requirement. Stereo camera systems are highly sensitive to panel tilt. Even a small degree of off-level positioning introduces angular error into the calibration, which the cameras interpret as a permanent offset in their view of the world. The bubble level gives the technician a direct physical confirmation that the target is seated correctly before the calibration sequence begins. This eliminates a common source of calibration failure and repeat visits.

When This Calibration Is Required

  • Windshield replacement: The EyeSight cameras mount to the windshield glass or the bracket attached to it. Any glass-out job on an EyeSight-equipped Subaru requires recalibration.
  • Camera bracket removal or adjustment: If the bracket is removed, disturbed, or adjusted for any reason, calibration is required before the system can be trusted.
  • Front-end collision repair: Structural repairs affecting the A-pillar, roof header, or firewall area can shift camera geometry and require recalibration.
  • Suspension or alignment changes: Depending on scope and OEM requirements, significant suspension work may require ADAS recalibration. Check OEM service information for the specific vehicle.

How It Works in the TEXA RCCS Workflow

This panel is used with the TEXA RCCS calibration structure — compatible with the RCCS 2, RCCS 3, and RCCS 3 EVO frames. The panel mounts to or is positioned in front of the RCCS frame at the distance and height specified by TEXA's IDC5 software for the specific Subaru model being calibrated. TEXA IDC5, paired with a TEXA Navigator interface (NANO S or TXT), walks the technician through vehicle-specific setup, target positioning, and the calibration sequence. The software communicates with the vehicle's ADAS control unit to verify calibration completion and store results.

Which Shops Need This Panel

  • Auto glass shops: If you're replacing windshields on Subaru vehicles with EyeSight, this panel pays for itself quickly. EyeSight is standard or available on a wide range of Subaru models and model years — you will encounter it regularly.
  • Collision repair shops: Front-end collision work on EyeSight-equipped Subarus requires this. Returning a vehicle without completing camera calibration is a liability issue and an OEM requirement.
  • General repair shops with TEXA RCCS equipment: If you already have an RCCS frame and are adding Subaru EyeSight2 to your calibration coverage, this is the panel you need.

Compatibility

This panel is designed for Subaru EyeSight2 (second-generation EyeSight stereo camera system). For exact compatible model years and trim levels, contact us directly — Subaru has deployed EyeSight across multiple generations and variants, and we can confirm fit for the specific vehicles in your market before you order.
