TEXA ACS (All Around Calibration System) — VAG Group 360° Camera & Doppler Calibration

The TEXA ACS is the dedicated calibration tool for shops doing 360-degree surround-view camera and Doppler radar work on VAG Group vehicles — Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen, and Lamborghini. If your shop is handling windshield replacements, camera R&R, or radar sensor service on VAG platforms, the ACS is the supplemental fixture that closes the gap left by front-camera-only calibration frames.

This is not a general-purpose ADAS frame. It is a purpose-built, VAG-specific structure designed to calibrate the systems that wrap around the vehicle — the around-view monitor cameras and the corner/blind-spot Doppler sensors. It works within the TEXA ADAS ecosystem alongside the RCCS 2, RCCS 3, or RCCS 3 EVO calibration systems and TEXA IDC5/IDC6 software.

What the ACS Actually Does

  • 360° Surround Camera Calibration: Calibrates the multi-camera around-view monitor (AVM) systems found across VAG Group vehicles. These systems require accurate panel positioning — the ACS provides the physical target structure to do it correctly.
  • Doppler Radar Calibration: Works with the TEXA Doppler Simulator accessory to calibrate rear and side blind-spot radar sensors on VAG Group and Mazda vehicles. The Doppler Simulator is an active device that responds to the frequency generated by the radar sensor — not just a passive reflector.
  • Integrated Alignment Verification: The base of the ACS includes three housings for distance measurers that verify correct positioning relative to the vehicle. This ensures the structure is set up accurately before calibration begins, removing guesswork from the alignment step.

Physical Construction

  • Aluminum Frame: Lightweight aluminum structure built for shop durability and repeated daily use.
  • Two Horizontal Panels: Provide the forward-facing target surfaces required for camera calibration procedures.
  • Two Vertical Magnetic Boards: Side-mounted boards hold calibration targets in position. The magnetic mounting system allows quick panel changes without tools.
  • Wheeled Base: The ACS rolls — you can move it to the vehicle rather than maneuvering around a fixed structure. In a busy bay environment, this matters more than it sounds.
  • Three Distance Measurer Housings: Built into the base to support the guided positioning procedure in IDC6 software. When used with TEXA's Bluetooth distance measurers, the software confirms correct standoff and lateral alignment before the calibration routine begins.

VAG Group Coverage

The ACS targets VAG Group vehicles equipped with 360° camera systems and Doppler radar:

  • Audi — models with AVM and Side Assist (blind spot) radar
  • Volkswagen — models with Area View and blind spot monitoring
  • Seat — models with around-view and rear cross-traffic systems
  • Skoda — models with Amundsen / Columbus camera systems
  • Lamborghini — models with surround camera systems

Exact model-year coverage by system type is available through TEXA IDC6 software. Contact us for current coverage details — call 866-217-0063 and we will pull the specific makes and years for your shop's mix.

When Does a Shop Need the ACS?

You need the ACS when your shop handles any of the following on VAG Group vehicles:

  • Removal or replacement of any surround-view (360°/AVM) camera — even if it is just the rear camera, the full system requires recalibration
  • Blind spot monitoring sensor R&R — rear quarter sensors that use Doppler frequency response
  • Rear bumper or quarter panel repairs that disturb sensor mounting
  • Any shop serving as a sublet calibration provider for collision centers working VAG fleet accounts

If your work is front-camera and front-radar only (ACC, lane keep, emergency braking), the main RCCS frame handles that. The ACS is the add-on that covers the surround and blind-spot systems that the forward calibration frame cannot reach.

TEXA Ecosystem Integration

The ACS is an accessory within the TEXA ADAS product family. It does not replace the RCCS — it extends it. To use the ACS, your shop needs:

  • TEXA RCCS 2, RCCS 3, or RCCS 3 EVO (the main calibration frame) — for front camera and radar work
  • TEXA Navigator TXT or NANO (the diagnostic interface)
  • TEXA IDC5 or IDC6 software with current ADAS module subscription
  • TEXA Doppler Simulator (separate accessory) — required for blind-spot radar calibration on VAG and Mazda

IDC6 guides the technician through the calibration procedure step by step with vehicle-specific help sheets. The software confirms positioning using the Bluetooth distance measurers before the calibration sequence runs — reducing the chance of a failed or out-of-spec result.

Who This Product Is For

  • Independent shops with a VAG specialty — if you run a VW/Audi-focused shop and you are not subbing out camera calibration, the ACS pays for itself quickly
  • Collision centers — 360° camera recalibration is now a line item on nearly every VAG repair estimate involving rear quarter or bumper work; doing it in-house instead of sublet changes your margin
  • Mobile ADAS calibration providers — the wheeled base and self-contained structure make this practical for mobile setups serving dealer lots or body shops
  • Dealerships — VAG dealers doing warranty and customer-pay camera work need an OEM-compatible calibration process; TEXA's platform meets that standard
