When Does a Shop Need This

Any time a windshield is replaced on a vehicle with a forward-facing LDW camera, static recalibration is required before the vehicle is returned to service. The same applies after front-end collision repairs, hood or fascia R&R, or any suspension work that changes ride height or steering geometry on a camera-equipped vehicle. Insurance-paid work, fleet maintenance contracts, and dealer overflow all generate this work. If you're already doing the glass or front-end repair, keeping calibration in-house rather than subcontracting it adds a direct revenue line on jobs you're already touching.

This is a stationary calibration kit — it does not perform dynamic (drive-cycle) calibration. Most LDW systems on these makes can be fully calibrated statically in a flat, controlled bay. If you encounter vehicles that require dynamic calibration after static setup, that step is performed on the road using the MS909CV's guided drive-cycle function.
