Robinair ADAS Master Recalibration Solution (BODAS3000-1)

The ADAS Master Recalibration Solution is a complete, professional-grade system for recalibrating forward-facing cameras, radar sensors, and other ADAS components after windshield replacement, collision repair, or any front-end or suspension work that disturbs factory sensor alignment. This is the Bosch DAS 3000-family system — a calibration frame with precision target boards and radar reflectors paired with guided on-screen calibration workflows to bring every sensor back to factory spec.

At $37,144, this is a capital investment that targets high-volume collision centers, dealership body shops, and ADAS specialty shops that handle enough camera and radar R&R to justify owning the equipment outright rather than subcontracting the calibration work or turning cars away.

What This System Does

After any of the following events, the vehicle's ADAS systems require recalibration before the car can be returned to the customer:

  • Windshield replacement — forward-facing cameras mount to the glass or the bracket bonded to the glass; removing the windshield loses the calibration
  • Camera or radar R&R — any time a sensor is unbolted and reinstalled, even if it goes back in the same position
  • Front-end collision repair — frame pulls, bumper replacement, and radiator support work all shift radar mounts relative to the vehicle centerline
  • Wheel alignment or suspension work — ride height changes affect camera pitch; some OEMs require recal after any four-wheel alignment

The system uses a calibration frame (the rolling fixture that positions target boards in front of the vehicle) combined with reflector panels and camera target boards. The operator positions the frame using thrust-angle alignment markers and distance references displayed in the guided software. The software walks the technician through each step — no guesswork, no memorizing OEM procedures by vehicle. The scan tool handles the active calibration commands sent to the vehicle over OBD.

What's in the System

  • DAS 3000-family calibration frame — heavy-duty wheeled fixture, adjustable height and width to accommodate vehicle classes from compact cars to light trucks
  • Camera target boards — precision-printed panels used for forward-facing camera static calibration
  • Radar reflector — used for front radar (adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking) calibration procedures
  • Guided calibration software — on-screen instructions for positioning, distance, and OBD command sequence
  • Compatible scan tool interface — required for sending calibration commands; verify compatible scan tool with your Robinair/Bosch rep before purchase if you don't already have a DAS 3000-compatible tool

Note: Exact vehicle coverage, compatible scan tool models, and any included accessories beyond the frame and target kit should be confirmed at time of order. Coverage expands via software updates — contact us for the current OEM coverage list before purchasing.

Who Needs This System

This package is sized and priced for shops doing volume ADAS work:

  • Collision centers handling 10+ windshield jobs per month — the breakeven on subcontracting calibrations at $150-$300 per job happens fast
  • Dealership body shops that already own the scan tool infrastructure and need the frame/target side
  • ADAS calibration specialty shops building a dedicated lane for camera and radar work
  • Glass shops looking to keep calibration in-house instead of referring out

If your shop does fewer than five or six ADAS jobs per month, the math may point toward a lower-cost entry system or subcontracting. Call us and we'll give you an honest answer on whether this configuration makes sense for your volume.

Why Static Calibration Equipment Matters

Dynamic calibration (driving the car at speed until the system self-calibrates) is not accepted by all OEMs and is not available for all camera types. Many forward-facing mono cameras require static calibration with a target board — the OEM procedure specifies a target, a distance, and a set of conditions that cannot be replicated on a road drive. Without the right target equipment, you either send the car to the dealer or hand it back uncalibrated. Neither is a good option when you're responsible for a collision repair.

Technical Notes

  • Calibration method: Static (target-based) for cameras; radar reflector method for front radar sensors
  • Frame adjustment: Width and height adjustable to cover a range of vehicle classes — exact min/max specs available on request
  • Software guidance: Step-by-step OEM-style procedure display; positioning markers for thrust angle and standoff distance
  • Scan tool requirement: Compatible Bosch/Robinair scan tool required for active calibration commands — confirm compatibility before ordering if you have an existing tool
  • OEM coverage: Contact us for current vehicle coverage list; updated via software
