Returns & Refunds

At ADAS Diagnostic Tools, we sell professional-grade calibration and diagnostic equipment to repair shops, collision centers, and fleet service teams. Because these are high-value commercial tools, please review this policy carefully before purchasing.

Return Window

You may request a return within 30 days from delivery. Requests made after this window may be declined or subject to additional fees at our discretion.

Defective vs. Buyer’s-Remorse Returns

We handle returns differently depending on the reason:

  • Defective, damaged, or incorrect items: If equipment arrives defective, is damaged in transit, or is not what you ordered, we will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund at no return-freight cost to you. Report these issues within 5 business days of delivery.
  • Buyer’s-remorse returns (you changed your mind, ordered the wrong item, or no longer need it): These returns are accepted at our discretion, subject to a restocking fee, and you are responsible for return freight.

Restocking Fees

Buyer’s-remorse returns are subject to a restocking fee of 20% of the item price. Defective or incorrectly shipped items are not subject to restocking fees.

Condition & Repackaging Requirements

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • In new, resalable condition with no signs of use, installation, or wear beyond reasonable inspection
  • Returned in the original packaging, including all manuals, cables, targets, mounts, accessories, and documentation
  • Free of damage caused by improper repacking — please use original freight packaging and pallets for large equipment

We may reduce or deny a refund for items returned incomplete, used, or inadequately packaged.

Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return:

  • Opened or activated software, firmware, licenses, or subscription keys
  • Custom-configured, special-order, or made-to-order equipment
  • Calibration targets and consumables that have been opened or used
  • Items missing serial numbers or original identifying labels

Who Pays Return Freight

  • Defective / incorrect items: ADAS Diagnostic Tools pays return freight.
  • Buyer’s-remorse returns: Buyer pays return freight, including freight/LTL charges for large or heavy equipment.

How to Start a Return (RMA)

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping anything back. Items returned without an RMA may be refused.

  1. Email support@adasdiagnostictools.com or call 866-217-0063 with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will issue an RMA number and return instructions, including the correct return address and freight arrangements for large items.
  3. Pack the item securely, mark the RMA number on the packaging, and ship per our instructions.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund, replacement, or credit to the original payment method.

Refunds are typically issued within 5–10 business days after inspection.
